Taxpayers can now request an appointment for the face-to-face attention of the Income statement

As of this Thursday 27th, taxpayers can now request an appointment to present the income statement corresponding to the year 2020 in person. However, it is from June 2 when the Tax Agency will begin to assist citizens in its offices for the preparation and presentation of documents, which will end on the 30th of that same month.

The ways to request an appointment in person are the web, the mobile application of the Tax Agency or by calling 901 22 33 44 or 91 553 00 71 (Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00). The rest of the methods for submitting the return are still active: by mobile application, online or by phone through the "We call you" plan.

Regarding this last filing channel, once the taxpayer requests an appointment -either online or through an automated service on 901 12 12 24 and 91 535 73 26- and chooses a morning or afternoon schedule, the system He proposes a day and time in which he will receive the call from the Agency official.

The Tax Agency reminds that it is very convenient for the taxpayer to have the information and documentation necessary to make the declaration available when they receive the call. In turn, and in order to mitigate a possible loss of appointments to the detriment of taxpayers as a whole, citizens are asked to cancel the appointment by the same means by which they obtained it if they have decided not to use it.

This year as a novelty, the Tax Agency has incorporated a new way of assistance through the Income 'Informer'. This tool, accessible on the web within the section dedicated to the campaign, includes all the traditional information blocks of Renta, although restructured and systematized to be able to offer the information that each taxpayer requires based on simple questions made by the tool itself.

More presentations than in 2020

At the close of Thursday, May 20, the Tax Agency has already returned more than 3,700 million euros to 5.6 million taxpayers. In total, 10.3 million returns have been filed, of which 7.7 million correspond to amounts to be returned, according to data provided by the Tax Agency to Europa Press.

It is expected that 21,570,000 declarations will be filed throughout the campaign, 2.1% more than the previous year. Of that total, 14,330,000 would give the right to a refund, two thirds of the total and 1% less than the previous year, for an amount of 10,857 million euros. In turn, 5,960,000 declarations are expected to enter, 5.7% more, for an amount of 12,976 million.

The Tax Agency highlights that the main characteristic of this year's campaign is the planned reinforcement in personalized assistance for those affected by the Temporary Employment Regulation Files (ERTE) and the recipients of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV).
