Public laboratory for audiovisual content

With the aim of contributing to content and strengthening work with new technologies, the Alexander Von Humboldt Business Corporation announced Emprende Lab, a proposal for the creation of digital content.

This is a multimedia laboratory to which not only students, teachers and administrative of the higher campus will have access, but the community in general.

The investment to condition the scenario with modern computers, cameras, platforms, lighting, sound and others was $ 70 million.

Diana Carolina Garzón Celis, dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences of the Von Humboldt, spoke about some aspects of this space.

“It has several experiences that serve us for production, audiovisual design, edition, advertising, podcast, everything that has to do with digital media.Companies and society in general now move in digital media, the digital marketing program wants to provide society with that service, through its laboratory, the brand strategy design for the person and companies is sought, ”he saidGarzón Celis.

He added: “For 10 years there is talk of digital platforms, it is true that pandemic accelerated the use of these technological alternatives and today what is not found on the internet does not exist, therefore the importance of the marketing careerDigital and strategic communications that aims to train professionals to solve the needs ”.

The Vice Chancellor of the Superior Institution, Adriana Gutiérrez Salazar, indicated that the laboratory will be an important tool for daily work, for example, of the media.

“These resources are available, it is a great opportunity to help in processes and spaces.We consider that they are very important for the exercise of informing ".

Access to the room

On how it can be part of this process, the directive explained: "You simply have to come to the University's headquarters, contact the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, tell us your need, we make a diagnosis to be able to give you a solution".

He added: “An agenda is agreed, whether a journalist, student or person in particular, thus can use the laboratory.But the most important thing is that it is not only the physical space, but the knowledge that the academy can give to everyone so that they can strengthen their projects ”.

Laboratory aspects

Juan David Jiménez Rivillas, of Marketing and Communications of the Alexander Von Humboldt, explained the options that will be available to the media and others.

First, he said: “There are the latest technology equipment, they even arrived from California, United States, before being marketed in the rest of the country.They have the entire adobe suite and are equipped for audiovisual production for graphic design, the entire issue of advertising professional photography ”.

Emprende Lab also has audio, editing and radio production equipment: "Let's say it is a space for post -production of content".

Another quality within the laboratory is that you have study for the production of video and professional photography: “At the moment we have enabled the chroma key which is the green screen that we can later replace it in postproduction with the background we want.The background is used for animation films and special effects ”.

There are equipment for professional photography, as well as lighting, also some flashes for quality photographic production."You have reflex cameras of a very good range so that all beneficiaries can make images".

Finally, there is an audio production study: “The recording space is isolated from exterior noise, at the moment we have enabled a space for speech, voices recording.In addition, we have the possibility of connecting musical instruments or other devices, of course you have the production and editing equipment within this cabin ”.
