WiFi could be more powerful, but in Spain it is limited
In Spain, 100 mW for 2.4 Ghz and 200 mW for 5 Ghz
In Spain, the power of WiFi routers for 2.4 Ghz 802.11b/g/n networks is limited to 100 mW (or 0.1 watts), which is equivalent to 20 dBm. In the case of networks that operate on 5 Ghz, such as the 802.11ac standard, the limitation is 200 mW. Telephone antennas operate at a maximum power of a few hundred watts, the highest values being those used by towers that are far from urban centers, which allows them to reach much greater distances.
Telephone antennas vary their power depending on where they are placed and the band in which they operate. Normally, those that are far from urban centers have a higher power and are made up of macro cells (between 15 and 20 km range), while those in urban environments do not need as much power and are made up of micro cells (1 km range) and even by picocells (range of a few meters). These antennas emit waves horizontally, so if they are installed in a building, the radiation that reaches its inhabitants is very low.
