Adidas and Prada enter the metaverse with an exclusive collection of digital products
The two brands present the “adidas for Prada re-source” project in collaboration with digital artist Zach Lieberman. Proceeds from NFT sales will be donated to artists and creators in the community, as well as charity.
Embarking on the new era of originality and digital, adidas has teamed up with Prada for the third time to present the exclusive “adidas for Prada Re-Nylon” collection delving into the Metaverse and digital products such as NFTs. through an ambitious digital art project.
The project, called "adidas for Prada re-source" carried out in collaboration with digital artist Zach Lieberman, seeks to involve users who are passionate about the world of fashion, design and cryptography by co-creating works of digital art inspired by the Re-Nylon physical collection.
adidas and Prada will invite their audiences to collaborate on the one-of-a-kind anonymous photography project, where ultimately 3,000 community-sourced artworks will be registered as NFTs and compiled into a single digital artwork designed by renowned creative coder and digital artist , Zach Lieberman, which will be auctioned in a pioneering marketplace for NFT artwork.
The 3,000 contributors that will feature in the final NFT draft will own all intellectual property rights to their individual NFTs and will have the ability to sell their NFTs on the secondary market. Additionally, owners of each NFT will receive a percentage of the primary sale and any secondary sales of 'adidas for Prada Re-Source by Zach Lieberman' each time it is sold.
The adidas for Prada re-source project represents a tribute to open innovation, where adidas Originals and Prada will harness NFTs and Web3 technology to reward participation in a new kind of collective rooted in ownership, authenticity and community, branding in the same way the last collaborative trip of both brands towards the metaverse.
